Thanks for finding me on the wide internet ocean of singer / songwriters. I am the real deal, writing the high and low tides of one sailor's life. In 1978 I earned my Coast Guard license and started a small charter sailing company in Bellingham, WA. The business grew slowly over the years, until I advertised in SAIL magazine and expanded the business into the British Virgin Islands of the Caribbean. My dream of somehow "wrestling a living from the sea" was coming true, and it was so much fun!
When the ever-expanding economy began to go slack in the late 90's, I had to furl sail and crank the engine of necessity called "What do I do now?"
I began recording and producing the music I have written and performed since I was 13 years old.
Songs on the "Captain's Collection" 2 Cd set above, have been preformed at NW Boat festivals, WA State Fair, many backyard bbq's, rest homes, the Seattle Folklife Festival and for the US Navy. In the Caribbean, I became a semi-legend to locals and tourists, chartering by day and playing most of the bars in the BVI's by night.
One warm Caribbean night, when the Marina Cay generator went out, I had to stop playing music and be the bartender while the real bartender got a flashlight and went down the trail to get the power going. Marina Cay is owned by the Bacardi Rum Company. I poured free rum drinks and cold beers til the bartender came back. He thanked me with a bottle of Bacardi ( Hah! ) and I went back to playing my songs.
I Moved to Hawaii in 2002, to live the rest of my life without cold rain and snow, and earned a musical living performing for most of the dinner baot cruises, QuickSliver, Trilogy, Teralani, SV WindJammer. I dated crazy Maui women and tourists and wrote the songs on "Tiki Torch Songs" above. I was the wandering minstrel at the Whaler's Village on Maui, and then enjoyed a six year weekly gig at the World famous Pioneer Inn in Lahaina.

Lady, my dear Lorena, and we were married in Hawaii in
2006, She is a good singer and she has been very supportive putting up with a musician husband. Oh! She is the Hula dancer for the Singing Telegrams and the
inspiration of my two fun Hawaiian style Cd's: "Under the Spell of Hawaii" and "Sweet Hula Girl"
